I am Eric Extreme. Yes that is my legal name. I am the operator of Extreme Radio, a small fleet of Citizens Band Radio ( CB Radio ) stations. I am from Auburn, Massachusetts in the United States of America. My AM band “Handle” is Extreme. My primary Single Sideband (SSB) call sign is 2 American Eagle 813 (2AE813). I am also known as 2SF1701, CE794, CDX717, DX Outlaw 717, OT717, PDX717, QS1701, RF717, and SOA817 from various other CB radio groups.

I have been on the air for 25 years since December 1992. What is a Citizens Band Radio ( CB Radio )? It is a group of 40 radio frequencies between 26.965 Mhz and 27.405 Mhz in the 11 meter radio band for use by citizens for 2-way radio communications without the need for a license to operate. The hobby peaked in the 1970‘s & waned until the early 1990‘s when it became popular again. Since then it has greatly waned, but there are still plenty of us active hobbyists still around.

What is a Citizen’s Band Radio Ionospheric Radio Wave Propagation? It is the technical term for DXing, shooting skip, or long distance radio communications. You can read more about it by clicking on “11 Meters Radio Band” in the website navigation menu above.
